Murphy here, and nice report about my recent weekend project with my buddy Cartwright. We decided to upgrade my 2008 Pontiac Solstice with a K&N 69 Series Typhoon Cold Air Intake, figuring it’d give my ride a nice boost. Cartwright’s always been the gearhead between us, so I was stoked to have him help me out.
So, after watching that video, you can probably see why I was pleased by how easy this install turned out to be. I’d braced myself for a sweaty, frustrating afternoon under the hood, but with Cartwright guiding me, we had it swapped out in under an hour—no special tools, no swearing, just a straightforward bolt-on job. The real surprise, though, hit me when I fired up the Solstice afterward: the engine growled with this deep, throaty sound that made it feel alive, and the throttle response was so crisp I couldn’t stop grinning on my test drive. Cartwright just smirked like he knew all along it’d be this good—guess I owe him a beer for talking me into it!
